Lizard Lounge Poetry Jam

Survivor and Shadokat were great! The Dynamic Duo! They gave a wonderful show that was full of life and spirit and great poetry! Driving up from New York to do a double feature isn’t easy but they gave us a great show. We will have to have them back. They did duets and solo work and a few trio poems with a friend who’s name escapes me. A great night of poetry.We are finished with our qualifiers to crown the first “Lizard King or Queen.” The finals are next week and we will have a great bunch of poets. Go to our “Slam Page” for more info on that.Cara hosted the open mic yesterday and she was great! She has so much class and is quite cute too!!

Samantha was in the house!!  She came back to bless us all with her stunning talent and beauty!  A great feature and a wonderful crowd as well.  She had her whole family there.  Everyone except her kids was in the room!  She hasn’t been on the poetry scene in quitew some time and all her new material was about her family so it was good that most of them were in the room.  Thanks Sam!

Tony Brown and Duende were great last Sunday. The Bass player “Faro” was excellent and we all had a good time listening to the poetry and music. Jerome sat in with them and he sounded like he was in the band. Another good vibe at the Lizard!

The Slam was fun with Tai winning again. She’s on a roll!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!  It was Trish’s annual birthday party and it was a good one.  Loads of stars on the mic and good vibes to go around.  She did a great job and then she brought up Tom Parsons, Regie Gibson, Tom Daley, Margo Malia and Iyeoka!!  What a line-up!  A great night for all.
