<description>I think I will treat this as a sounding board blog with the blessings of the publisher, administrator, musician, poet, performer, web developer, historian, I like to think of him as the miles Davis, dizzy Gillespie of jazz fusion poetry….Jeff Robinson. Thank you for allowing a freedom of speech that is the bench mark of fusing jazz and poetry in the world.
I went to the dangerous divas benefit for Katrina it was great, lots of love the most beautiful women were there. Our own host Tai was there and she rocked with a second place win seventy five dollars, another regular A.C. competed also, she rocked the room in the first round with what part of every women I would I want, I’m paraphrasing here people. Joyce was in the competition she is so expressive, it’s awesome, give that girl a lapel mic, she would be an amazing performance movement artist just awesome. There was some serious competition. It was all women, which was nice, Excuse me for forgetting the first place winners name because I had to take off my hat on her first piece of the abortion clinic. I know I’ll never know what it feels like but I came as close as I could when she read her piece. the slam momma of the evening it was her first time she brought lots of energy. There were words of struggle, sacrifice, hope, fury and love through the night, I think I was one of maybe five guys that were in a room of about a hundred women gay and straight, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunts it was heaven on earth. I couldn’t stay for the features of sonnie Peterson and stacy ann chin I hope I said that right my appoligies. I’m sorry I missed last couple of weeks features at the lizard it’s been packed you can’t get in there unless you get there early, take note of that for people who want to see the slam show and feature with the jr3 then bumping with poets reciting their pieces including myself. It’s most awesome. Well I’m back and wish everyone the best of luck for the finals peace out.
In the struggle, hope and fury
Peace, jazz and poetry

<description>Okay this is where poetry comes in to play to say the least words as possible to describe what a night of Patricia smith was like it’s impossible it’s like looking at a picture of the grand canyon and saying the picture never captures the grandeur of it. You just had to be there. When she graces the stage she has blessed the stage, she is divinity. All I sometimes remember is key words and phrases and there were plenty of them when she took the stage, sometimes I just watch the crowd and soak in the words of the poet and all I could see in the audience was smiling faces of every race, color and creed bathing in that light it was truly a parliament funkadelic moment. She not only played with the jazz, she is jazz, okay trinity. The orgasm piece was hilarious I turned to my friend “is that possible? And she said yes” I said “why does she have to be married” and the peanut man piece most everyone knew because it’s timeless and a lot of the cantab crowd was there it was really nice to see them. There’s just so much I really can’t go on with out sounding insane. Ohh that’s right she got a standing ovation, No one wanted her set to end. That woman is a goddess, she’s the empress of poetry Mrs. Smith I’ll bake the pie please come back soon I’m already missing you.

<description>When people watched Nicole and Adrian you would have thought they were rehearsing the last month it shows the talent of the poets onstage when they can just mash together words and music so effortlessly and keep a beet, rhythm and cadence that left you in awe. A true pleasure to see such great writers and performers, they played with the jazz as opposed to against it, they listened and talked to the jazz like a conversation. Nicole commented on how the trio can make anyone sound good that was her humility and humble nature one of the many reasons she&#039;s loved, it’s true the trio can make most poets sound great but the dynamic duo made it look effortlessly thank you for coming down and sharing guys. Hope to see you again…SOON
