Lizard Queen Cole Rodriguez
Nicole “Cole” Rodriguez is the new and first Lizard Queen of the Lizard Lounge Poetry Slam! She dethroned Christopher Johnson in a very exciting slam at the Lizard Lounge on Sunday, September 28th. Christopher did not go down easy and it was a hard and tough battle of words but we now have a new Queen. Queen Cole will represent the Lizard Lounge in the Individual World Poetry Slam in Charlotte, North Carolina in December of 2008! Long Live The Queen!!
Sunday, October 5th starts the 2009 Lizard King/Queen Tournament. Win a slam between October 5th and November 23rd and you are in our tournament finals on December 7th. You could be the next Lizard King or Lizard Queen and represent the Lizard Lounge in the Individual

Every Sunday with a Poetry Slam starting at 7:30pm and a Featured Poet and Open Mic accompanied by the Jeff Robinson Trio starting at 9:00pm - there’s a $5 cover and you must be 21 to enter the venue - Sultry red lights, intimate tables, and wooden church pews give this small room one of the best ambiances in town.
