Whether wielding her words as swords or surrendering them as sacrifice, Queen G is a passionate wordsmith fueled by faith. She is a Liberian American creative, educator, public speaker, and voice actor. Her work investigates identity, challenges oppression, & reimagines community, culture, & faith as it reinforces her belief in the power of storytelling.
It has taken her around the US and around the world to countries including Haiti, Nicaragua, and South Africa. She competed at the 2016 National Poetry Slam, and was the 2016 7 Hills Grand Slam Champ. She was a featured artist at the 2017 PVD fest, and competed in the 2017 and 2018 Women of the World Poetry Slam. She released her debut chapbook, The Whetting Stone in December 2016.
