Gladys Teresa is a spoken word poet and filmmaker deeply involved in her community of Lynn. As an alumnus of Raw Art Works having participated in R2R Film School and Art in Words, she has now joined the staff as a co-leading teaching artist for multiple programs, as well as leading her own group. Her poetry is rooted in her Latinx ancestry and her needs to dispel stereotypes associated with her culture. Gladys hopes that through art, she can help bridge the gaps that allow miseducation and fear to thrive. She has performed at some amazing events such as World Aids Day Boston, Wheaton College’s iSpeak, JP Porchfest and The Massachusetts Promise Fellowship and Northeastern University’s MLK Day Event.
