Kwe
Kwe is a poet/musician and host of the Freedom Hour radio show on WMBR 88.1fm (Cambridge, MA). Kwe tours extensively in the US and beyond, performing his original style called “Afro Roots Hop”. Dirges of Becoming is his first collection of poetry, performed since 2010 at conferences, concerts, poetry venues, and festivals. He is currently working on an album which will be titled “Bright Side”. This upcoming reading at the Lizard Lounge will feature players of the Music Is Healing collective (Derek Wood on acoustic guitar, Talia Pique on keys and vocals, and Keith Waters on saxophone).
