Tarishi Midnight Shuler

Tarishi MIDNIGHT Shuler is a native of New Haven, CT he now resides in Brooklyn, NY. He has performed all across the country and outside the country as well.

He is the 2019 Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium’s Spoken Word Ambassador.

In 2018 he curated an event for the Boston Museum of Fine Arts for their MLK Day celebration.

He was the 2017 Nuyorican Grand Slam Finalist

He won the 2016 & 2017 Yale Peabody Martin Luther King Jr. Slam

He is the 2017 Lizard King of The Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA

He appeared on Russell Simmons YouTube Channel “All Def Poetry”

He has been performing at the National Poetry Slam from 2011 to 2018

He performed on HOT97 for the 15th anniversary of 9/11

He was the 2016 Slam Master of the CT National Poetry Slam Team Verbal Slap

He is 2011, 2012 & 2016 CT Grand Slam Champion.

He won the McDonald’s McCafe Poetry Slam in NYC in 2010, 2012, 2013 & 2016

He has opened for many notable individuals such as Saul Williams, Grammy-nominated Dwele, President Bill Clinton, Abiodun of the Last Poets and others.
